How Would It Feel?
For those of you not in New York today, here is a link to the Post's backpage where you can see their photoshopping department has been busy.
So my question is this. What if Derek Jeter signed with the Red Sox? What would Yankee fans feel? And since this is a site with two different fanbases, what would Red Sox fans feel?
Assuming there is no other news in the Yankee department today, that will be it for me. I hope everyone out there has a wonderful Thanksgiving.

mixed, respect for Jeter has been discussed previously, if he could help the sox and not burden them with another long deal that extends too late I'd say go for it, stick it to them...but, if he really is on road to decline, not worth it

I'd be fine with Jeter playing for the Sox or any other team. He'd probably have a bounce back year or half year for the Fenway Faithful and annoy the heck out of me while he did so - but once that was done, he'd just be serving to keep some much needed youth out of the Sox lineup. Question is, would he grow his hair out after his departure? How about some facial hair? :-)

Boston.com ran a poll and something like 90% plus Red Sox fans said they support him if he signed.
I would too, for some reason, he doesn't make my blood boil.
And seriously Mitchell, if you do have photoshop skills, I'd like to see Jeter with chops.

OK, if someone can point me to a good pic of Jeter, I will add hair appropriate to a Sox team :-).
And by the way? He is reportedly asking for 6yrs andf a bit less than $150MM. Seems like he wants to be paid A-Rod money, which ain't gonna happen in this economic climate. I could even seeing us move A-Rod with (lots of) cash considerations in a few years - but that's for another thread down the road.

He's isn't leaving because no team in their right mind would pay Jeter more than 3yr/45m. This is all noise.
