It's A Simple Game

Coming back one night from 5-0 is lucky enough. Expecting it to happen twice is really greedy. Obviously, something has happened to the Yankees' pitchers between the Minnesota series and now. Maybe that's too simplistic and the Texas hitters deserve the bulk of the credit, but the Yankees should explore this further. One theory I have is that they have had way too much rest. I could be wrong, but If I am Joe Girardi, I am whispering to CC Sabathia that he may get the ball in Game 4.

Anyway, the Yankees actually accomplished what they needed to in Texas. If the Rangers didn't have Cliff Lee going in Game 3, I think everyone would be in a pretty good mood right now. Lee's going to be a bear, but the Yankees can beat him. They just need their starter to keep them in the game for more than an inning.

Back tomorrow.

Yankees in 5, I'll stick with it until the Rangers win their 2nd game. Nothing is going according to "plan" so why wouldn't Lee hava an off game?

The alternative ending that people will start salivating for - Rangers vs. Giants...yeah baby!

Interesting theory. Giants looked pretty good last night, maybe they can knock of the mighty Phils.

Or Giants vs Yankees, BL. Would probably bring a smile to some older baseball fans while the media muffins could yak about the curse that settled upon the baseball Giants when they "left home".

in case it wasnt obvious, I was being sarcastic :)

Bl

I totally missed that. About the Rangers-Giants part?

I think people would be interested in that because you would have "never won anything" vs. "haven't won since 1954"

still, what would the all important TV ratings be? Next to nothing.

People around the country complain about the Yankees, complain about the RedSox. It sells though. People watch.

Regardless of game 3 outcome Girardi is sticking with AJ in game 4. Gotta love it. He will, out of nowhere, silence the Texas bats.

Painful to say...yes, very painful...
