Wilson Pickett Would Be Proud
11:07pm here in NYC and we still don't know who the Yankees are non-tendering. They have 53 minutes to decide and I will update this post when the news comes down.
(And for those of you who don't get the title, please use google and then ITunes- he is well worth it.)
UPDATE: Chien-Ming Wang has been non-tendered. All the other Yankees will be back. And, in other news Gomes is a free agent and Navarro has agreed to a new deal with the Rays.

BWP-
Classic Boras. I am sure he has indicated to teams that they are expecting a four-year offer for Damon. Therefore, the Yankees haven't made an offer because they certainly won't do that.
Based on recent history, I imagine we will get some resolution on this before Christmas. I still think it will play out like last time Damon was a FA. Boras said he wanted seven years and ended up with four. This time he will end up with two.

I would assume that Lackey going to the Sox would remove them from the Doc sweepstakes. That could lower the price and in turn make the Yankees bidders again, but I'm not sure they make that move yet.
(And, I think Montero would have to be included in any deal for Doc)
