Time To Stare Out The Window
"People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." --Rogers Hornsby
My Game 6 companion sent me that quote today and it really captures the next three months for me. The 2009 baseball season is officially over. It couldn't have worked out any better, but it's done. May the memories keep us warm over these coming months. Only 96 days to pitchers and catchers!

OK, so here's my question of the day: which group will step up to buy the rival Sox now that the owners will probably be looking to exit? And how do you think new owners will look to cut payroll? Or do you think Henry will hold onto the club as the only asset he has which is cash flow positive? And do you think he will expand or contract his payroll?
By the way, I'm pretty sure that Jeter, A-Rod, Tex, AJ and CC could scratch enough together to create a new ownership group, but that might prove a little awkward and Selig might have to vero that.

That's a fantastic quote, I can't believe I've never heard it before. That's absolutely making it's way to facebook.
Yeah, I can't stand listening to sports radio when it isn't baseball season.
