Must Win?
Personally, I hate the phrase "must win". You really only must win a game when your season ends if you don't. But, tonight's game is pretty close to that definition because the Yankees are using C.C. on short rest.
If they lose, the Angels are tied up and holding all the momentum with A.J. Burnett and his crazy head taking the ball for New York. If they win, the Yankees are one win away with two more games at home to fall back on.
Let's hope Girardi settles down a bit tonight. There is no rule that says you have to use the entire bullpen everytime out. I would expect the Yankees to hope that Sabathia gives them six and then they turn it over to Coke, Joba, Hughes and Mo.
