Molina To Catch AJ
Multiple outlets are reporting that Jorge Posada was informed Sunday that Molina is going to catch AJ Burnett in the ALDS.
As much as I hate Molina's bat, Jorge and AJ don't seem to click. It's along the lines of Mussina and AJ last year. Pitching wins championships they say and the best way to maximize your pitching in this case is to go this route. The interesting quesiton is which game does AJ pitch? If he pitched Game 2 then he would be in line for a potential Game 5 as well. I would assume that means Posada doesn't catch that game either. I can't imagine Jorge being very happy about that or any of this, but it's something he needs to get used to. 38-year old catchers don't usually thrive and I would expect the Yankees to cut back his workload in 2010. This is the first step.

Heck of a way to enforce cutting back on his workload though - a pitcher's personal issue with you. I wouldn't be happy about it, especially if I've had a very good year as Jorge has had.
