Lineups Are In
The lineups are in and the Yankees' should look familiar. So Swisher is getting the start, which doesn't shock me, but if he doesn't hit tonight and they lose, I would bet on a change tomorrow.
What really bugs me is the note Chad posts at 4:40 which basically states that Hairston would have started instead of Gardner if they had benched Swisher. That shows to me that Girardi is way too obsessed with lefty-righty and isn't reading the numbers because Gardner hits lefties better than Hairston! Ultimately, if my choice was Swisher or Hairston- I will take Swisher everytime out.
The big question is the weather. (Think the Yankees are regretting that they didn't shell out for a retractable roof now?) Things aren't too hot in NYC right now, and there is a big blob of yellow all over New Jersey. It will be interesting to see how MLB handles this. We could be in for a long night.
