Go Dodgers
If you are like me, you watch the NLCS not only because it's baseball, but because you are "scouting" a potential future opponent. After watching most of the first four games, I can say that the Phillies are one tough team.
I was discussing this with Andy last night because he and I both agree that the NL is vastly inferior to the AL. My argument was that may be true overall, but Philly is different. I think they could survive and thrive in the AL East and there are probably no other NL teams I would say that about.
So, I will be rooting for the Dodgers tonight. It would be good for the NLCS to be a bit longer and it might be better for the Yankees to face LA.

BL glares in at the batter, he sets for the pitch - and HE LETS IT FLY high and tight ...
the crowd tensely awaits the hitter's reaction ...
LOL.

you gotta remember, before raising the Phillies to the clouds and beyond, that in your statement that the NL is weaker, the Phils actually did not play well this year. Against that weaker league they coulda/shoulda been overtaken by the Marlins or Braves. They gave every opportunity to them to do so but neither team could get hot early enough.

Do you really think so? I know Lidge struggled, but the team still was +111 in run differential.

I was rooting for the Dodgers, but Congratulations to the Phillies and I hope they win the world series.

Hi Amy,
I'm curious: you were rooting for the Dodgers, they lost and now you're rooting for the team that beat them. OK, I got that.
Are you rooting for a NL team to beat one from the AL? Are you rooting for the Yankees to lose (sort of like the Beantown T-shirts that read Red Sox or anyone who beats the Yankees)?
Inquiring minds want to know please. Thanks !
