Baseball History

I was reading an article about the Twins today and it mentioned how the Metrodome is the 7th-oldest baseball stadium and   That kind of blew my mind.  But it makes sense considering how many new parks have been built in the last 20 years.

Now, just for fun, take a guess at the six oldest parks.  The first three should be easy, but the last three might take you awhile.  No cheating and I will post the answer later today.

And, in case you were curious when the Metrodome is replaced next year the venerable Landshark Stadium will become the 7th-oldest.

Fenway, Wrigley and Dodger Stadium were the ones that I knew had to be right - easy - then I drew blanks.

Right, right and right...remaining answers to come later.

Fenway
Wrigley
Dodger

Royal/Kauffman stadium
Oakland
San Diego

I sent in from work, not sure if you will get it though:

Fenway
Wrigley
Dodger
Royals/Kauffman
Oakland
San Diego

If I had to take a SWAG at the next few, I would have to take a shot with Oakland and wherever the Angels play then, um, uh, I dunno.

Between the two of you you have it:

Fenway
Wrigley
Dodger Stadium
Oakland
Angels
Kansas City

BL- Not sure why, but it seems like the comments you post from work end up in our spam folder.

no offense taken :)

BL - what that sometimes means is that your work domain or IP addy range might be black or grey listed by the board's host servers. Don't tell me the name on this board, but you might want to chat with your IT people at work and see what's what.

and I never would have guessed Kansas City ...

KC came to mind long before Oakland or my other guess San Diego (guess it is new though). I thought the Angels got a new one when they switched the whole name and where they are from thing...

The only reason I knew KC was because they made such a big deal about the renovation to it this year when the Yankees played there on Opening Day for the Royals.
