Tuesday Trivia
What was the last trade between the Red Sox and Yankees?
Thanks to Andy for giving me the idea.
UPDATE: The answer is that the Yankees acquired Mike Stanley and Randy Brown for Tony Armas, Jr. and Jim Mecir.

Peter how do you post a question for a new subject? I have been a big fan of Markakis, I would love to see him in RF in the fifth hole behind Alex, That would answer so many problems we have in our outfield, I think we have the worst outfield in baseball, nobody can catch..or throw, and hitting is damon when he don't stub his toes.Balt has four guys now, what would it take to pry him from the cellar to us.??I rather fill that huge hole than go for another starter this year..we won't need five starters in the playoffs, but need that canon of an arm and the way he plays Rf is like he was made for it at the stadium.

BWP- I share your enthusiasm for Markakis, but I don't think the Orioles will trade him. They have him locked up to 2015 at reasonable money. If they did trade him I imagine they would ask the Yankees for Hughes, Montero and maybe even Jackson, not a price I would pay.

I agree ,I would NOT give up any of those kids, I seen Montero and Jackson several times this year and they will be major players in the years too come. Ajax is ready now. Montero mid 2010 as a DH.
I would like to see this outfield if they can pry markakis from balt. Gardner LF. Ajax Cf. Markakis RF. great defense, Give them Joba and Melky kennedy if he is healthy.I guess i'm just wishing, You see what damage Abreu did, Swisher is a joke out their, melky can't ajust to the position he gets turned around, going from CF and Lf is hard to go to right, you can go from rf to the other positions but tough going to rf. and damon out in Lf is Pee Wee base ball, when a ball is hit out their i hold my breath.

BWP- I think the Yankees really need to start thinking about Montero and 2010. The guy is tearing up AA and I hope they bump him up to AAA soon.
I like your outfield but I think Swisher is a bit better than Abreu- at least he isn't scared of walls!
