120 Pitches?

I think Brian Cashman and Joe Girardi need to have a meeting.  I understand why Girardi felt he had to throw Sabthia 120 pitches today, he doesn't trust his bullpen.  But, you just can't do that right now and it was painful obvious that Sabathia was running on fumes.  I am sure C.C. wanted the ball, he always wants the ball, it's the managers job to take it from him. Giardi needs to tell Cashman he doesn't trust the pen.  Cashman needs to tell Girardi not to burn out the starters in May and then they need to figure out a plan going forward.

I am not sure what the answer is, but the Yankees need to come up with one.

Rock and a hard place for both those guys, Cashman and Girardi. Starters are struggling, bullpen is imploding. Just read that we have the highest ERA in the majors - not a good bang for the buck testament.

If Hughes looks good today, assuming the game is played - and if IPK looks good in AAA - then they might need to start doing some significant shuffling.

Sorting on various pitching stats, they are too few bright spots and WAY too many causes for concern. The WHIP and OBA numbers are truly awful.

Yeah, the pitching has been really disturbing. Hopefully, some of these guys start living up to their deals.

It's extremely frustrating that for so many years running we don't have a solid bullpen (other than Mo). It reeks of organizational incompetence.
