Nobody?
The reports are all over the web that the Yankees have decided not to offer arbitration to anyone. I simply can't believe that the Yankees really felt Bobby Abreu would accept and now they won't get any draft picks when he signs elsewhere. This makes no sense!
And, what was the downside of offering arbitration to Mussina? Was there really a concern he would accept?
The final lists are still rolling in, but CC and Burnett both were offered so the Yankees will lose draft picks if they sign either one.

If the Yankees think that Abreu's ultimate choice would be between accepting arbitration and making between $16-$18 million for one year, and a two or three year contract with another team at about $11 million per year, I can see why the Yankees were afraid that Abreu would accept arbitration (hoping that the economy might rebound next year making a multi-year deal at a higher AAV more likely) and therefore they declined to offer it.

Peter Abreu's best days are behind him. At first glance, I agreed with you, but when you crunch the numbers, just what kind of average salary do you think Abreu will get?
With his OBP down 2 straight years. off the normal .400 level, I see him as a $10mm a year guy now. If he accepts arbitration, he gets at least $16mm, no? I know there is no hard fast rule to arbitration, but rarely does a player get less than he did the prior year.
Cashman and Co must have felt that there was a strong enough change that teams were not going to give Abreu the multi-year deal he wanted.
Did you see Dunn and Burrell were also not offered...interesting.
