$25 Million To Go

The Yankees made $1 million tonight by selling the rights to Darrell Rasner's contract to a Japanese club.  So a mediocre pitcher going from the U.S. to Japan only nets $1 million while the opposite (or worse) nets $26 million?  Maybe Congress should look into this....

Rasner had/has pretty good stuff. Stealing someone else's description, he's a great AAAA player. He's going to Japan to make more than a megabuck next year to sock away for his new/young family.

He's a class act and I truly wish him well and great success. Perhaps he can find a new grip or two in which the ball breaks a little later and a little sharper and he can return as a good starter in the bigs.
