Ugh
Clever me, worrying about Joba and his innings limit. Well, that doesn't sound like it will be a problem. Not a ton of details yet, but he is on his way to Dr. Andrews. That doesn't mean he is done, but it means that the MRI showed "something". What that is remains to be seen and the Yankees aren't going to say tonight.
The Yankees cannot, cannot compete with a rotation including Rasner, Giese and Ponson. Cashman needs to come up with an answer, maybe it's Kennedy, maybe a trade, but something has to be done.

waiting for second opinions tell me it's "not nothing". Yikes.

the classy RedSox fans hope for the best for Joba, much like Catfish, Guidry, and others before him, I would rather lose to Joba than to beat some schmuck that should not be in the majors

When is it okay to start comparing Kennedy Hughes Joba to Generation K (Wilson, Izzy and Pulsipher (sp?)? I'm kidding, but worried.

BL- well said, rooting for any player to be hurt is sad. We hope Ortiz's wrist is ok on this end.
Tim- I know you are kidding, but I share your worry. Hughes has been very fragile and Joba had an injury history in college. They are 86 wins short of Generation K (and Isringhausen is still going), so they have some work to do before they even merit that comparison.

Its not the second opinion that bothers me, its the silent treatment. You would think that if this visit to Dr.Andrews was to confirm something minor, the Yankees would release that information. Instead it seems as if they are holding out hope before dropping the bomb on the fans.
