The Invasion Will Begin At 19:00 Hours
Dateline Tampa
In response to Supreme Commander, Hank Steinbrenner's, vows to turn things around "by force" if needed, the Yankees will invade Tropicana Field tonight.
Damon and Jeter were scheduled to parachute in and start the attack, But after several satelite passes, the Yankees doctors in charge of coordinating the attack noticed that there was a large roof on top of the structure and cancelled the maneuver.
Bobby Abreu was going to be in charge of demolitions, but it turns out he is afraid of walls and is therefore AWOL.
Jose Molina, Morgan Ensberg and Robinson Cano are being left at the team hotel since they are incapable of offensive operations at this moment.
Jason Giambi will be leaving the hotel now in hopes that he can make it to the Trop by "go" time.
Kyle Farnsworth is being held in reserve for special operations because nobody wants to mess with Kyle.
Sadly, Carl Pavano is MIA.
More details as they come available.
Comments
You forgot a few!
Supreme chancellor Matsui is already at the Trop attempting to do site "clean up".
While Arod and Posada have been air lifted to the nearest med station to undergo testing.
Jeff Karstens was on the train to the stadium when oddly it derailed and his last good leg was injured. He joins Arod and Posada now.
Chien-Ming Wang , tired from the night before, collapsed under the pressure of Damon, Jeter, Abreu, Matsui, Giambi, Cano, Melky, Ensberg, and Molina after attempting to carry them all again. Yes, this did have a negative impact on the Taiwan stock market.
Mike Mussina said he had the legs on his walker tightened last night; he should be able to stump on the toes of the Rays this evening.
Kei Igawa shot down Ian Kennedy's plane just before arriving in Tampa. Ironically he decided to stay and watch the plane crash and he got pounded.

Priceless.

"Sadly, Carl Pavano is MIA."
-- Priceless, 2.0
It's hard to know who would win the Mr. Popularity contest among Yankees fans right now, Iggy or Carlito. I would've thrown Farnsworth in there, but he's been ok the past two outings. Compared to these two, he's been a gem!
Speaking of MIA, anybody seen where the Yankee offense has been this year? This isn't just about injuries to A-Rod and Posada injuries -- this is pathetic. Tom Verducci had an interesting article on SI's website Wednesday. Offense is way down all across the AL. Interestingly, it is slightly up in the NL. Go figure.

Gotta love Boss Junior. Guy can always be counted to shoot from the lip with some really cogent material. Loved the image of Yankees possibly bouncing off the roof. Loved it.
In additon to Hank's utterances, I have another set of words I think deserve honorable mention - IPK's. Kid goes 0-2 with an ERA over 8, gets sent down to calm down, gets pissed off about it, gets his mojo working with the killers in AAA ball - then proclaims that on his return to the bigs, he's going to make "them" look stupid for having sent him down- did I read that right? If so, that's what I call a "youthful tude".
Moose is dazzling these days. It's hard to imagine freezing major league batters with 61 MPH stuff, unless it's a knuckler, but that's what he's doing. Must be that knuckle curve I keep reading about.
Good to see Joba - who should keep pumping however he likes on the mound - back in form. Goose should refrain from imposing his grandiose pronouncements on the media muffins and a great young Yankee arm.
And Mo's got the mojo going again. Nice.

Mike Mussina, who has been pronounced dead 4 times in 3 years, saves the day.

Law- nice additions
Ian- I am as guilty as anyone for burying Moose, but I have to say I am not sure he can keep this up. The lack of K's and 7 HR's in 49 innings make me think his ERA is going to explode.
