"Neither Offer Is Going To Change"

That was Peter Gammons tonight on Sportscenter talking about the Yankees and Red Sox offers for Santana. Gammons believes a deal is going to happen, it's just up to the Twins to decide which package they like more.

Fox Sports has a brief mention of the Twins possibly filing tampering charges against the Yankees. Odd thing to do to a team that is willing to give you their best pitching prospect.

One thing is certain, doing that wouldn't make Hank the Tank happy. Maybe they have decided to not trade him to the Yankees?

The Twins all of a sudden think they have 26 championships and the greatest payroll in the history of sports. The tail wont wag the dog.

Yahoo is reporting the Yankees and Twins are close, but nothing yet. It is past midnight, Hank, where are you? The deadline is past!

duderino, are you saying that b/c the Yankees have 26 Championships and the greatest payroll in sports they have the right to out-negotiate the Twins? What did you mean by that?

The Yankees just made a trade for Jonathan Albaladejo, according to the Washington Post.

He put up terrific numbers between AAA and the Washington Nationals last year and is already 25, so we could be looking at an opening day member of the bullpen.

Andy, not sure what duderino meant but I think if the Twins have any intention of trading Santana, this is their best chance or the leverage disappears and they play out the season.

I'm seeing talks breaking down on ESPN, where are you seeing they are closer than where they were yesterday. I hope its window shut.
