That Was Fast
Check out this report in the Journal News tonight. That is a great spot for them both and I hope they have a lot of success. I just hope A-Rod doesn't join them.
And, if you were wondering, the Yankees are not scheduled to play the Dodgers next season. But they will come to New York May 29th to play the Mets. Of course the NL does come to Yankee Stadium for the All-Star Game.
UPDATE 12:35am- Joe Torre was just on Letterman and David asked him about going to LA. Torre's response was: "There has been a time or two when something that's been in the newspaper hasn't been true. There is nothing to any of it, so far." (Keep in mind, they usually film these shows around 5-6pm.
With that, I am going to bed.

Hmmm, the immediate results of firing Grady Little can be good.
LA has an interesting team of solid rookies/young guys (Martin, Kemp, Loney, Pierre(only 29) and old/done guys in Kent, Garciaparra, Furcal (maybe not done, but not good).
Their rotation is a mess with Penny and Lowe being good and ok. Their relief is very good, but without more pop and starting pitching, Joe will have his hands full. Good for him though. Glad he is as far away from the AL East as possible (the NL West just played the AL East in interleague too).

I still think Grady got a bum rap and Theo got way too much credit.... But anyway, I think LA could be very good, they have a great farm system and some of those young bats will be very, very good. That Preston Mattingly is off to a good start too.
One more thing, Scott Proctor is a Dodger. He should get his arm operated on now.

Well Grady was a good enough manager, but as we saw this year a few times, you cannot afford to let your starter work out of jams, especially that late in a game. No matter your take on his playoff decision, he had lost the faith of just about everyone. Fair or not.
Proctor is screwed. Demand a trade, to the Mexican league, anywhere. Just not with Torre.
