No Meetings Until Monday- Maybe Tuesday
According to several outlets, the Yankees have decided to postpone their meetings in Tampa until Monday night or Tuesday. Joe Torre will not be invited- at least to the start of the meetings.
Well this is an interesting development, but I am not sure what it means. Could they be sounding out the Cubs about letting Lou Pinella go? Could they be seriously considering keeping Joe? I guess we just have to wait.

Peter, did you read Buster Olney's take on what the Yankees should do regarding Torre? He said they should figure it out very quickly and if they decide he is out, let him announce that he is leaving rather than putting out a GS special press release saying he is being canned. I agree with Olney as Torre has earned it 10 fold.

Andy- He's right they should do that, but I think this is a good indication of why people think Steinbrenner isn't all there. Fifteen years ago this wouldn't have taken a week, he would have been fired Monday night.
