Is Anybody Alive Out There?
To quote "Radio Nowhere", is anyone on the East Coast awake right now? It's 1:41am Tuesday morning and the Colorado Rockies are going to the World Series.
And, thanks to MLB scheduling, we won't see the Rockies again until October 24th, eight days from now. Pretty sad and you have to imagine TBS is wondering why it spent so much on MLB playoff rights when all it got out of five series was four sweeps and one extra game. At least they got to promote "Frank TV"!
Now, Fox has to be praying for a Red Sox series win. Cleveland-Colorado in the World Series would be the coldest ever in ratings and temperature. As a baseball fan, you almost have to root for Boston- almost.....

Were I a headline writer, I would relish Boston winning right now. That way, I'd get to use really big fonts with my ROX-SOX headlines. But, I don't write healdines for a living - Go Indians !
Peter, this is something you would know or know where to go to know. What is the average of the rosters for the teams that go to the World Series versue the average age for the rest of the teams? Is youth one of the factors?

The worst part about the scheduling for the Indians/Red Sox series is the day off today and then resumed play tomorrow and it's not even a traveling day. Just let them freaking play...

Mitchell- Sign me up for a "ROCtober" to remember. And, as for your question, it isn't much of a factor at least recently. Last #'s I saw had the average age around 29.5. The Rockies are about two-years lower than that.
