Season Over
18 Oct 2012
Two stats sum up this mess for me. 1- The Yankees hit .188 in the postseason. 2- The Yankees never had a lead in the entire ALCS. Yeah, CC Sabathia was terrible tonight, but who are we kidding? The Yankees lost this game at 2-0, the rest was simply window dressing. I thought this Yankees team would be great in the playoffs because the starting pitching would be so good. I never expected the hitting to fall off the map.
So, now we enter what should the most interesting offseason in years. The Yankees have some HUGE decisions to make. I am going to formulate my own plan, which I will publish in the next day or so.

You’ve got openings at catcher, OF, and starting pitcher. Fill them with kids and see how they do.
No need to blow up the entire team. At least they will be competitive. But if you blow it all up, get used to some last place finishes.

wow, all the articles up on ESPN right now about the Yankees is brutal.
My prediction- A-Rod is talking so loudly about hitting .280 with 30/100 next season I believe his ego might push him into the PED’s again. Just a guy feeling.

The problem is, where do those kids come from?

You mean like Papi did?

If proven it would be what it is, yes, like Papi. I didn’t post my thoughts to dump on him, I really believe, with his psych and need for the adoration, that it is possible he turns to the dark side. Whether it is because of the money and responsibility he may feel or truly the love of being great at something I don’t know.

BL – Dude ! You really need to seek professional help in dealing with these “guy feelings” of yours. You’re among friends and supporters on this board so there’s really no need to lash out with your accusations simply because Alex didn’t ask you for your phone number. Really, it’s gonna be OK.
